How to use different Instagram fonts
Step 1: Choose a new Instagram font
We recommend that you use free Instagram font tools like Instagram Fonts, Fonts for Instagram. or Fonts – for Instagram.
The advantage of using one of these tools is that they are tested in advance to see if certain fonts work with Instagram. This way you save time.
All you have to do is paste or write a text so that you can then search through the options to find one that fits your brand aesthetics.
Step 2: Paste the text with the selected font into your bio, caption or comments
Once you find someone you like, copy the text, open the Instagram app, and paste it.
Tap ‘edit profile’ on your profile to paste the text into your name or movie.
You can also use the text as a caption for your posts.
Or use it as a comment under someone else’s post.
Simple?
We recommend that you generally do not overdo the fonts – especially if you run a business account. A small change is good but too much can make your profile look like this.
How to use your own fonts on Instagram stories.
Unlike the rest of Instagram, on Instagram story, you have the choice of 5 different fonts: classic, neon, typewriter, and strong.
1: Use a graphic design app
The first option is to use a graphic design tool such as Canva, or Typorama.
Canva is a great tool, so let’s start with this one. Start by opening the app and tap on the “your story” tab. Here you can choose between different Instagram story templates or alternatively a blank page.
Upload an image or background, then press the “+” button in the lower right corner.
Here you can choose one of Canva’s text templates or if you want more control, select the option “add your own text”.
Here you can resize, align, line spacing, space, and much more.
Canva offers several different fonts to choose from, but if you upgrade to a paid version you have the opportunity to download your own brand’s fonts
When you are done with the design, press the download button in the top right to automatically save the image in your pictures. From there you can easily upload the image to your Instagram story.
